The township, with a population of 4,614, is located between the cities of St. Clair and Marysville and includes both school districts.  Some property along does run along the St. Clair River.

Parks: There is a small park located on Newman Road with areas for picnicking. Also, swings, playground equipment, grills and volleyball.
